Universal Interlock function for Automatic Doors

Universal Interlock function for Automatic Doors
At two automatic doors arranged to create an airlock, you can deploy this board for controlling the airlock operation.

The airlock function ensures that only one of the two doors opens at a time. Thus, a door can only open when the other is closed. This setup is ideal for environments where excessive wind or drafts cause discomfort.

When the board is activated, the airlock function engages. The airlock operation functions as follows when both doors are initially closed:

Door 1 Airlock Function:
When a sensor inside or outside door 1 is triggered, door 1 opens. The airlock function ensures that door 2 remains closed as long as door 1 is open. When door 1 closes again, both doors return to their initial state.

Door 2 Airlock Function:
When a sensor inside or outside door 2 is triggered, door 2 opens. The airlock function ensures that door 1 remains closed as long as door 2 is open. When door 2 closes again, both doors return to their initial state. If the sensor inside or outside door 1 or 2 is triggered again during the airlock function, the respective door will reopen, while the other door remains closed and can only be opened when both doors are closed.

The combined operation of door 1 and door 2 airlock functions creates the airlock operation.

When the Airlock Function switch is turned off, the airlock function is deactivated, and both doors function as standard automatic doors again.

Additional Features:

Memory Function: When activated, this function stores opening impulses detected at door 2 (closed door) during the airlock function while door 1 is open. When door 1 closes, door 2 opens based on the stored opening impulse. The same applies when door 2 is open and door 1 is closed.

Auto-Release Function:
When activated, this function automatically releases the airlock function when there is heavy traffic. If a door remains open for longer than x seconds (adjustable 0-25 sec.), the airlock function is automatically released. The doors now function as two normal automatic doors until both doors are closed again. The airlock function is then reactivated and resumes its operation.

Weather-Dependent Airlock Function:
When activated, this function automatically enables the airlock function based on weather conditions if it is not manually enabled via the Airlock Function switch. If the temperature falls below and/or wind speed exceeds the setpoint, the airlock function is automatically enabled. If the temperature rises above and/or wind speed falls below the setpoint, the airlock function is automatically disabled. An optional startup delay (adjustable 0-50 sec.) can be set on the temperature/wind speed input to prevent rapid toggling due to unstable wind sensor signals.
