In the seventies Eldebe B.V. and Van Walbeek B.V. started to develop and sell automatic doors. Both companies merged in 1992, which resulted in the new company Eldebe Waldoor Group BV. In 2003 Eldebe Waldoor Group B.V. became part of the KONE Corporation (specialised in elevators and escalators) and the company name changed into Konematic Waldoor B.V. In 2006 the company name changed into KONE Deursystemen B.V., which is a subsidiary of the KONE Corporation based in Finland.
